Notes sent here are read between jobs by the technicians themselves, in the van or at the end of a cure day. Maybe you are staring at a tub and cannot tell whether it deserves saving, maybe one line of a quote reads strangely, maybe a page on this site says something your own bathroom disproves. Details that sharpen the reply

• What the tub is made of, when you know it. Cast iron, pressed steel, fiberglass and acrylic each take a different prep, and the reply often hangs on that.
• Any chips, rust spots or rough patches you can see, and roughly where they sit. A wound near the drain reads differently from one up on the rim.
• Whether the tub has been reglazed before. A previous coating, peeling or not, changes the first hour of the job and the price of it.
• A photo of the bottom of the tub helps more than three paragraphs. Attach it when you reply to our answer and it lands in the same thread.
